Return To Work

Vocational Rehabilitation and return to work intervention:

We also have a keen intertest for return to work. Tamryn and Greea have completed their ErgoScience qualification which is a tool used to assess client’s safety and ability to return to work. With this tool they complete Functional Capacity Evaluations which test patient’s physical fitness to return to work according to their specific job descriptions. This can include a gradual return to the work program, a recovery at work program, temporary or permanent adjustments to the work environment or adaptations needed for the person to be able to fulfil their work duties. A work visit can also be recommended, where they are then able to provide recommendations to what the patient would need to ensure a safe and productive return to work.

Company worksite visits can also be conducted by the team. They will assess and make recommendations to the company on how to improve their productivity. This can be done by assessing the productivity line, educating employees on energy conservation and back protection principles or teaching to ensure optimal load lifting techniques for lifting and carry loads more effectively.
